1. Verification & Fact-Checking Methodology

Focus Pakistan verifies all factual assertions through independent multi-source confirmation prior to dissemination. Every statistical claim, macroeconomic metric, or judicial quotation must be anchored in:

• Official regulatory filings (State Bank of Pakistan, SECP, Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, Supreme Court records).
• At least two mutually independent primary witnesses or authenticated documentary evidence.
• Direct on-the-ground confirmation by our accredited bureau correspondents.

We do not publish rumors, unattributed social media conjecture, or unverified leaks. When data is subject to statistical dispute, competing methodology estimates are transparently contextualized.

2. Confidential & Anonymous Sources

Anonymous sources are utilized only as a measure of last resort, when the information is of overwhelming public consequence and on-the-record attribution would expose the source to physical peril, unlawful retaliation, or professional retribution.

Reporters may not grant anonymity without the prior written consent of the Bureau Chief and Editor-in-Chief. The reporter must know the identity of the source, verify their credibility, and confirm absence of material conflicts of interest.

3. Transparent Corrections Policy

When a substantive error occurs, Focus Pakistan corrects it promptly and transparently. We do not quietly overwrite mistakes:

• Correction Footnote: An explicit correction box is appended to the top or bottom of the article noting the exact nature of the change, the original error, and the timestamp of amendment.
• Public Log: Major clarifications are permanently recorded in our editorial revision register.
• Reporting an Error: Readers may submit correction requests with supporting evidence directly to info@focuspakistan.com.

4. Ethics, Independence & Conflict of Interest

Focus Pakistan maintains absolute editorial independence from commercial advertisers, political parties, and state entities.

• Journalists are strictly prohibited from accepting gifts, paid travel, honorariums, or financial incentives from subjects they cover.
• Financial investments by business reporters in equities under their active coverage beats are barred under our strict insider compliance code.
• Sponsored content and native advertising must always be distinctly labeled with high-contrast disclaimers.
